The City has created a community garden area on the corner of Silversteen Drive and McMinn Avenue. Individual inground garden plots are available for the public to rent on a first-come, first-served basis and rental fees are based on garden plot size.
2022 Annual Rental Fees are as follows:
5' x 5' Plot - $ 5.00
5' x 10' Plot - $10.00
5' x 15' Plot - $15.00
5' x 20' Plot - $20.00
A limited number of ADA accessible raised beds are available for a $5.00 rental fee.
Applications for plots will be accepted starting on April 11, 2022. To rent a plot, contact Community Garden Coordinator Shelley Heath at shelleycheath@gmail.com. All gardeners renting a plot will be required to fill out a Community Garden Use Agreement with the City which can be downloaded here, picked up at City Hall, or obtained from the Garden Coordinator.
